With the huge success of this site, and the proliferation of CAFCNA-logo badged shirts/stickers/etc., do you suppose Chevy could be convinced to eventually put out a CAFCNA Special Edition Avalanche. :)

It would obviously be in the club-decal yellow with black cladding (maybe we could live with the dark charcoal).

What set of options would we expect on it?

And while we're dreaming, Chevy would of course have to license the name from the club, in the form of a small payment for each Av sold. ;D

Maybe the best time for this would be at about year 4 or 5 when many original owners will be buying their next Av.

Somehow I think a Whipple supercharger and purple neon underlights would make it onto the final version! Colored letters definitely, a FIPK, and a flag bowtie. ;D

Any others?

Let's see, the perfect CAFCNA AV...
Retractable roof that slides down parallel to the the midgate.
Skyjacker 10 in lift kit.

I can't wait to hear goo's thoughts on this.

We cannot forget the obligatory custom seats and floor mats wtih the CAFCNA logo stiched into them. :)

Ahhhh, if the Chief had his way and there was a Chevrolet Avalanche CAFCNA Edition and understanding what Chevy would/wouldn't do --

1500 Series 4X4 based on Z-71 or
2500 Series 4X4

Exterior Color: Yellow (screaming arrest me yellow)
Interior Color: Graphite (as we have it today)
Interior Seating: Leather with front bucket seats and CAFCNA logo stiched in front leather
Wheels: Distinctive 16" special design aluminum
Tires: 285/70-R16 Goodyear Wrangler AT or other LT type tire that gives good on-road/off-road performance
Engine: 5.3 Liter V8 tweaked to boost output to 300 HP through intake and exhaust tweaks. Exhaust note would be meatier than factory
Engine: 8.1 Liter V8 tweaked to boost output to 350 HP through intake and exhaust tweaks. Exhaust note would be meatier than factory
Transmission: Wouldn't touch perfection
Transfer Case: See transmission

Options Above & Beyond Standard Avalanche:

  • Standard Z-71 package with beefier skid shields and a skid shield over the gas tank and an extra 1.1" of lift - on 2500 series suspension modification to lift to 10" ground clearance
  • No trailer hitch (optional)
  • Special edition black tube nerf bars
  • Special edition tubular roof rack painted black
  • Dark charcoal lower cladding
  • Bose stereo with 6-disc CD player, 8 speakers and rear seat audio controls
  • Custom CAFCNA floor mats
  • Power sunroof with HomeLink
  • Billet grille, painted black
  • Special CAFCNA badging on doors and tailgate
  • 110 AC outlet in dash
  • 12V DC outlet in rear cargo area, secured
  • Tranny temp gauge
  • Special CAFCNA gauge package with 120 MPH speedo
  • HID headlights (real honest to goodness HID)
  • Backup assist sensor
  • Amber DRL's
  • Prewired for auxilary lamps on the roof rack with dash switch
  • CAFCNA logoed golf shirts (2)
  • CAFCNA logoed hats (2)
  • CAFCNA logoed tote bags (2)

Well - if I were king that's what I'd do...

Chief, looks like you have given this some serious thought. Do you know something you're not telling? Perhaps one day the Chief could have his way.

Chief, you've just described the target result for most of our modding around here! ;D

Chief,

You forgot the CAFCNA bowtie for the front. Upgraded Fogs to go with the HIDs. ?Also, yellow painted/decaled Avalanche lettering on the cladding.

You know I have been busy if I haven?t responded to this one ?

Here are some of the changes that you would find in the Chevy Avalanche CAFCNA ?Street? Edition ?

I would keep some of the ideas the Chief suggested ? he started this playground after all

Interior Seating: ?Leather with front bucket seats and CAFCNA logo stiched in front leather (I like Chief?s idea on this)
Wheels: ?23x10 Chrome Epics with CAFCNA center caps (choice of your style)
Tires: ?Toyo Proxes tires, measuring P305/40R23
Engine: ?6.0 Liter 345hp V8 (maybe a nitrous option)
Dual Battery with upgraded Alternator
Air Lift suspension system

Painted matching lower cladding

While we are dreaming ?

Remove the last 2 panels not used by the sound system and install a Jacuzzi tub for you and the girls to kick it in after a long night of cruising (This is the MOD those champagne on ice filled side storage bins were asking for)

This is just keeping everything simple ? I could get crazy if I gave it some serious thought ? ;D

I hope I didn't give away too many of my future MODS ?

How about a removeable hard-top and soft-top option....another cool idea would be to have an installable soft divider for the cab when the midgate is down and the seats are folded. This would help during the winter season when you want to have a full bed...

Rgds,
JARM

Does anyone know if we have any influential Chevrolet or GM employess registered on the site? Would be a good way to make something happen.... ;D

The likelihood is high that we have at least one lurker from the General, most boards do - as to an active member, good question, they would likely not disclose it.

I would love it the Z71 package came with a little more clearance better skids and a tank skid plate and the brake line run over the top of the axles.

While I am dreaming, a true steel front bumper option with brush guards including a front receiver hitch :) - I checked out the backside of the current option and it wouldn't provide much protection - though it does look OK.

Gand - I thought the General was here when I saw the user id Lutz :) ?- don't go look, I made that up ?>:D ? We do have a guy going to school who works for GM and has an AV - I forget his ID.

I can't really add to the list from Chief & Goo

Chief,

You forgot the Billet Fuel Doors

The chrome fuel door on my "street" edition is a billet fuel door. I just chose to have it chromed for that mirrored effect

How serious are you guys about a CAFCNA Special Edition? I'm sure a conversion company might be interested if there is enough interest of purchasing one. Heck if you offer me enough I would consider doing the conversion myself.. >:D >:D
