I've got the Airaid TB spacer on the truck, and purchased a Granetelli CAI, but had some issues with it, namely it doesn't work on the 04 Avalanche. Oh well, put it to use on a friends 00 Silverado. Based on the fitment, it appears the intake tube would have interferred with the fan shroud anyway. Anyone run those two parts together, or is it a one or the other proposition? Thanks for any help.

I have an Air Raid Filter an Intake along with an Air Raid TB spacer that fits in an 04 Av without any fan shroud mods.... plus I love the sound the filter and intake give the truck when you gas it.

I do believe that you will have enough room if you buy an intake that uses the stock intake tube. I have read about people doing this.

I run a TB spacer with my Volant. I had to modify the fan shroud though.

I had to modify the fan shroud on my 2002, had to trim it a little bit. I don't have the problem now since I added the Flex-A-Lite electric fans.
I highly recommend the electric fans as they free up a lot of room and a fair amount of horsepower. It seems like the engine spools up much faster without the weight of the fan/clutch assembly out front.
