Anyone here like to camp? I was wondering if there would/could be a GTG when the wheather is a little better! I have not camped in a long time and really want to start going again and that would be a great reason to buy a new tent!!! :0:

I would be willing to drive as far north as Upper Georgia for a nice 3 or 4 day weekend... How about Stone mountain and a trip to Six Flags!!! I am a rollar coaster nut! Or even better a trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH would worth the drive!!! ;D

I would be very interested in doing something like that....We camp all the time and were always looking for people to join us...I / we don't mind traveling, but I know of several nice places around Florida to camp and have a GTG for all the Florida AV'ers

Oh, I am into this idea. We should find somewhere really cool to camp though. Probably some really neat places in North Florida/Georgia. Lets go, lets go ;D

What I was thiingking is some place like Itchatucknee Springs or some place like that....More around the Central Florida region. This was all who want ot attend will have about an equal distance to drive.

For those coming in from outside FL. will be treated to what we Floridian have to offer..."PURE SPRING WATER"

What do you think???

There is a great place in Live Oak, Florida. It's near I-10 and the I-75 junction. It's right on the Suwanee River, I have done 32 miles in a canoe on that river! Or my choice would be Stone Mountain, Geogia becasue we could go to Six flags and ride the new Super Man roller coaster!!!!!!!!!!!

It would need to be Late June or anytime after that, since no one ever really seemed into this idea before I went ahead and booked a two week trip in May to California and Vegas so, I will need a few weeks to recover money after that trip.

um....ditto to Mike's comments ;)

I'd say stone mt in GA would be good....pretty much any place in that area in late june is going to be hot/suck for camping.....maybe we can find a place on the water somewhere in GA/SC so that more folks up north can make it down?

LOve to camp. In fact that is what caught my eye in this thread. I am from about 40 miles east of Sandusky(Cedar Point) I will be trying to organize a GTG at Cedar Point this spring or summer hopefully. We have season passes & that new Dragster is AWSOME!!! :eek: We like to camp at East Harbor, a state park near Cedar Point.
If you should head this way, give a holler, we go to CP almost every weekend.

Well, I wish I could do it sooner but, I really want to go to Cali and Vegas. Plus I still have to buy a new tent for this trip so... It would for sure haver to be in or after june sometime. Hot?? HAHAHA I live in FL guys. I sweat my ass off almost everyday, I can handle it if you can! LoL >:D
 
i was just checking into a trip to Cedar Point last week. they have a few hotels, and cottages as well. i think there were spots for campers too. don't remember if they allowed tents.
