I had problems like this with the stripeman kit but not until the were a few months old. You can use superglue on them and then hand paint some clear coat over them and they will stay put.

My Stripeman decals have been on for most of a year now and are fine, even with an occasional run through a car wash to blow off the winter salt.

I have had my stripeman cladding letters on since August 2002 and have had no problems with peeling. ?My AV gets hand washed and washed with the pressure car washes, and have had no problems (knock on wood) .

Mine, from Stripeman, have been on for about a year now. That includes a Canadian winter, complete with power sprays when possible to get the salt and 'stuff' off. Was the truck a LOT. So far no problems.

Have cladding decals from auto trim design. No problems at all. I use the power washer all the time on them.

Painted mine on also...

$3 - $7 for a paint pen vs. $37 decals was a much better deal for me, and if the paint comes off I can do a quick touch up with the pen.

We have had the patriotic decals on the cladding and the domed patriotic on the tailgate. NO PROBLEMS! We even scrub the cladding with a brush to clean it, but NOT over the decals. Sorry to hear you have had bad luck with yours. We LOVE ours-click the sig! Cleaned the cladding with Dawn, dried, then did the rubbing alcohol, dried again. We did heat up the cladding with a blow dryer just to make sure we got a good "stick".

Hey JW, how bout some pics of that stainless steel you're talking about?

Yo- they are 20 gauge stainless steel mirror finish laser cut and have some permanent bonding adhesive 3M glue that sticks like crazy. Try SSInserts site for details- with photos. Pricy but hands down over decals.

Right at one year with the black decals for the cladding and the 4th one stuck on the bull bar up front. Have had no problems and have been to the coin operated car wash beu-coup times....... Use a soft brush when cleaning cladding to get in and around the letters..........Holding up Superbly........

Thanks to All members for your comments on this Subject.....I have since peeled off the remains of what was left of the Decals.......And Went with Testors Paint marker......Less than $4.00 in cost.....and it Stays Stuck!!!!! Looks even better....wish I would have thought of this earlier and saved $37.00......Many Thanks for all who suggested.....and To anyone who is thinking of Purchasing Decals......I would Strongly suggest You Stay away and Use this Method........The Decal Companys have not Done there Home work with the adheasive......The Paint Lasts.....and Is Cheap!!! Go to Testors web page for a Variety of Colors

I cut mine out of the 3M Reflective Tape. They look good and I haven't had a single letter start to peel up after both hand and high pressure washes.

Tom, I used a paint pen on mine....It is very easy! I am sure that you will not mess it up. The letters are raised enough. If you do mess it up it will come off with rubbing alcohol when it is still wet. I did mine back in Dec. I probablly need to touch it up, but that is about a 15 min job. ;D

Thanks Les. Yours look great. I think I'll do mine in black though.
I've ordered a hood bra that should set off your Wolf Bowtie nicely.
So I think black lettering would coordinate well.

BTW, I've already done the amber DRL's like you mentioned.

Uh oh! I think that mod bug has bitten!
