Cold Weather Wind Noise

It finally got cold here in Cincinnati and I don't just mean the Bengals Bungals:D:. Got a little snow yesterday and now I hear some wind type noise comming from the rear window midgate area. All the snow is off the Av, niether the window nor the midgate have been removed in a while and I did not have the noise before. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so, is there a cure other than waiting for warm weather.

Thanks,

Coach

First I would take out the window and verify there is nothing wrong with the seals or the plastic base that the window sits in. Ive heard of these cracking but not necessarily from cold weather.

Secondly if all of that is OK I would clean the seals and spray with some non alcoholic, non flammable silicone spray. This will keep them moist with the dry air.
There are quite a few different products you can use this is just what I prefer.

If you are still getting the noise you can probably chalk it up to the cold and inform your dealer. They may even replace the seals for you.

Hey at least you beat my Texans!!!!!! Although that will probably be the only win you sees this year. And at least you can be first in the draft. You guys should be getting used to drafting 1st or 2nd every year by now.
>:D

When I took the AV out at lunch time the wind noise was gone. Temperature has risen to 34F . I am going to look for some silicone to coat the seals. Hope this keeps the noise from coming back.

Thanks ApolloZ66-2 for the advice (y).
