Color Code For 2003 Yellow ?

I thought it was 43U, but now I'm not so sure.

I waited patiently for a week for GM to send my dealer a couple spray cans of Yellow, along with some primer and clear cote, so I could paint my new hood scoops.

But after a couple of cotes, the color does not even look close to the Av yellow. It looks more like the Saturn Vue light yellow.

Has anyone else used the GM spray 43U? Is it REALLY the right one? I have to order a couple more cans now anyway, and I want to make sure its the right one.

Color Code is on the sticker in the glove box, at the bottom.

yes the color code is 43U but there is a lighter yellow that has a 43U color Code

So, what are you saying Avalance? ?Is there a "sub-code" to go with it or something?

I definitely got the Saturn Yellow here...

Umm I will check at work tomarrow I will ask the parts department but there are quite a few colors that are that way there are 2 25U and 2 43U and many other again Iwill check at work tomarrow

I talked to my parts guy this morning, and he shows only one selection for 43U - BRT YELLOW. Then he shows just a 43 - YELLOW.

So he is ordering the 43 now, and I guess we'll see what that looks like.

AvaLance, any news you can add to this that you find out would be appreciated.
