Completed Power folding mirror (DL3) swap

I just acquired a low mile 2013 LT to replace my 2004 and I am finding that I miss the power fold and parking assist features more than I thought I would. I've read through the thread now a couple of times and have a couple of questions still:

1. I know that to flash for Park assist to work you have to have the power seat modules. Is the actual functionality of the park assist still located in the memory modules of the switches? Meaning, if I get my switches (driver and passenger) from a truck that had park assist will it just work? Does the system just need to think they are there for programming or does it actually store in the seat memory module?

2. Where are all of you finding your mirror sets? I can't find any used sets let alone near the prices that you all had listed (realizing of course that those prices were up to a decade old).

By park assist do you mean the sensors in the rear bumpers?

Park assist meaning mirrors auto tilt (not fold in this instance) downward when placing truck in reverse to better see curb, etc. when backing up.

That's what I thought also, just trying to figure out how does it relates to the seat module

Yes, the mirror function is in the door modules, both driver and passenger. I bought a used set of mirrors on Craigslist from a Tahoe. And a pair of door modules/switches (Be advised the drivers side window switch is different when you have folding option as it has extra buttons, so need to cut trim piece or get new trim piece. I cut/trimmed mine). Once installed, everything worked (reverse tilt, auto-diming, turn signals and folding). However, for some reason I lost the dome light on/off when the door opens. I ended taking it to the dealer to get it flashed. I provided them with a VIN from a LTZ optioned Avalanche.

From what I understand, to get park assist mirrors you had to have the memory module that came with the 8 way power seat which I do not have. Others above posted that they had to trick their truck into thinking it had the memory module in order to get that functionality to flash to their truck. I just didn't know if it flashed to the modules in the door switches like the fold does or if it actually does get stored in the seat module.
