Hello fellow Avalanche owners,

Until I find a great condition 2500, I have decided to install a 2-2/12 inch leveling kit on my '03 1500 with new keys, new longer/stiffer springs in the rear, and longer shocks throughout. What I am curious about is the front control arms. Many folks on youtube say that with just two inches there are no modifications needed. I was thinking that modified tubular upper control arms made for 2-4" lifts might not be a bad idea, however I am unable to find any stronger, or necessary lower control arms. Has anyone crossed this bridge before? Thanks.

I had the 2-2.5" leveling kit installed with new shocks and struts about 18 months ago. I had both lower ball joints replaced at the same time since one was causing tire wear issues. New front stabilizer bars came with the front end kit, so I replaced them both as well. Nothing else was replaced, and I've had no problems, other then a slight decrease in fuel efficiency.
