I am looking at ordering the Sport Corsa exhaust for my EXT on Friday. Can anyone give me feedback on how they like the sound? Any problems with it?
Thanks

I'm running that system on my Av. It's pretty loud when you go WOT. I'm not sure if it would be as loud if I didn't have the headers, cam, and blower, though.

I like the system a lot and the looks are top notch. Just be prepared to attract a lot of attention when you get on it. If not, go for the touring system.

Thanks,
I think I will go with it. I heard the sound on their site and it was pretty awssome. I like the attention anyway

I have the CORSA exhaust as well....go with it...when you get near a group of NUNS floor the peddle!!!! WHAT A GREAT REACTION!!!

i have the Corsa also. i love it very much. could not be happier. wish i had a system for every vehicle.

Corsa Sport.... I couldn't be happier!!

I have sold a few other members on it as well, and they are very happy with their purchase.

VERY WELL BUILT!!

You'll love it. Get so many compliments from my friends when I open it up - "Nice pipes". Yes, it's a bit loud at WOT but I didn't buy a Lexus. Pretty quiet when cruising but you still get a nice exhaust note with the rear passenger window down.

Enjoy the many smiles to come. ;D

As the others have said it is awesome. I heard Puniser's
setup at a GTG and had to have it! YOU WILL NOT
BELIEVE THE SOUND OF THIS IT IS AMAZING!!

PM and I'll give you the name of a dealship thats
pretty decent price wise.

Please post pics when you install it! You will love
it!

The Corsa exhaust note is very unique and un-mistakeable (y) with almost zero interior resonance and a nice set of side dual pipes you will like it for it's fit and finish but the price may cause you to step back a bit as it is a $600+ stainless steel cat back system ;)

HTH

I just got my system installed last night....I agree with what everyone has said.....its sweeeeeet....very unique sound and look........It sounds good on the 5.3...I bet the 6.0 would sound even better.

Hi all,

Can anybody compare the sound and loudness of the Corsa sport exhaust to the Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust. I am thinking of using one of the two setups on my AV but I can't decide which. I had a Magnaflow muffler on my last AV and was happy with if but it seems like the Corsa Cat-back maybe a little higher quality and I really like their duel tips.

Thanks,

i think it is higher in quality. i am not just saying this because of i have one. i am stating one of the facts as to what lead me to purchase the system.

Yeah I definately agree with Punisher. Also though you need to
realize that the Corsa is stainless steel and the Magnaflow is
aluminum. But all of the performance guys on the site swear
by Magnaflow so I decided to get my Fiance a the muffler
that they always are throwing the P/n for and a set of
chrome magnaflow tips. Well the muffler I think is pretty good.
I like the way it sounds. It is by no means as cool as my
Corsa but we are talking a muffler vs a full catback system.

However I will tell you that the quality of the Magnaflow tips
leaves something to be desired. I posted a thread a little while
back which kinda detailed it. But to make a long story short there
was enough of a manufactering defect that the chrome tips
which I spent about 110 dollars on started rattling after being on for a month and a half. The welds that were done really poorly. I have heard that Magnaflow farms out this part of the their
production line but even so...

I would warrant that Corsa is built alot better than the Magnaflow.
The warranty is awesome. You buy the system and they garentee it
for as long as you own that vehicle. No matter who installs it..btw.
If there is a problem Corsa will send you a new system and replace
your old one! They are very good to deal with.

After all of the problems I went thru with my Magnaflow tips and
playing games of phone tag I really would buy Corsa over Magnaflow
any day...

Not to start trouble, but if you are talking about the Magnaflow catback then you may want to get your info straight. The magnaflow catback is an all stainless system with a lifetime warranty just as long as you own the vehicle. Sounds familiar right? Same warranty Corsa offers. With that being said, now lets just look at prices. Magnaflow $360 shipped vs. Corsa $650 shipped. If the dual tip and difference in sound is worth the extra $300 bucks to you, then by all means, buy the Corsa. Hey just trying to get the facts straight. Mikesav.

Had to beat me and take away my fun... I wanted to blast him about the magnaflow being 100% stainless steel system... hehehe >:D

Hey, according to Sport Truckin magazine, it is a 16 gauge - 430 series stainless steel. I have no clue what that means. I left a link to the Sport Truckin magazine below. MIke.

http://www.magnaflow.com/05news/magazine/st.htm

well corsa exhasut is... according to thier website...
100% 304L stainless steel construction with mandrel-bends

304 series stainless has a high chrome content, and can be polished nice to a brillant shine... but is a softer metal due to the chrome content

430 series stainless cannot be polished, but it alot stronger, as it has a high carbon content, it will get a surfance corrosion, but will NEVER rust.

So, the 304 may look nice and shiny, but if you hit a rock, it will dent, and in general, you do not see the exhaust other then the tip unless you are giving your truck an oil change...

I will keep my stronger exhaust system, and the extra $300 I saved going magnaflow....

Grey

Edit:
If you want to check and see what kind of stainless you have... (roughly)

304 stainless is non-magnetic, and is a decorative type material (similar to the tip on the magnaflow or the entire corsa system

430 stainless is slightly magnetic, because of the higher carbon content over the 304. And it is a stiffer more durable material that is less malable.

Are we talking same gauge also?
For ex: 440 or 404?

Aetatis.

Aetatis, not to be a$$, but you have just proven to me you have no clue what you are argueing about between the magnaflow and the Corsa system. 440 and 404 is the tyoe of stainless not the gauge.... get your facts straight and you might be able to prove what you are trying to prove.

Grey

I hope I did not overdue the last statement... just if you are going to try to point out differences between systems... you have to use the correct facts and terms to express what you are saying... or else you will come across like you don' know what you are talking about...

Grey,

Geez man I'm not a metal fabricator. Sorry I put in the wrong word. I was just curious to see what grade the corsa was made at and what grade Magnaflow was made at. Anyway you understood what I meant and explained that.

I does make a good point for Magnaflow...But to further the conversation why is Corsa a GM parts certified out of the different exhaust systems? How does a company go about getting certified? Why is there such a difference in price of
the all stainless Magnaflow and Corsa? I know Borla is price wise closer to Corsa...

I may not have a clue but at least I don't flame someone for using the wrong
syntax..
