For anyone interested in taking out the midgate to slide a large enclosure into place or just putting an enclosure in the bed, this is a sub that you CAN'T AFFORD TO MISS!

This sub is an unlabled Kove audio Armageddon Z-15, originally retailing for $699.00. Parts Express has bought out the remains of the unlabel inventory and is doing a sell-through currently, for $189.88!

You can view the sub here.

A review of this sub and three competitors can be found here.

If you're in the market for a large sub, this one will not be beat for the price. Sure you could get more output from a W7, but at a fraction of the cost, I wouldn't mind missing a couple of decibels!

Hey DS! What is your opinion on Logic Soundlabs. I was looking at their components but can't find any reviews. All are welcome to comment.

DS.

Just sent you a PM in regards to the KOVE line.. what do you think of the opulent and euro pro series. I have a friend that knows the owner (gary) and does alot of installs ofr him. Since he is a rep i may be able to get these at a good price.

Logic Soundlab's competes with brands such as Volfenhag, Audiobahn, PerfTek, Digital Audio and Boss. They are simply another line of so-so speakers. You can get some really respectable subs with a good warranty and dealer for the same price if you shop around town or hit sounddomain.com and thezeb.com.

As for Kove, they sell a quality product. I think you could buy them blindly and get good results because the drivers themselves are well designed. I certainly am a believer in the idea that you can take mediocre speakers and install them in a well thought out manner and achieve better results than the absolute best speakers in a half-assed install. The Koves are good in the first place, and it sounds like your installer knows what he's doing, so you should have nothing to worry about.

When did I ever say I loved Sony equipment?? ???

I have Pioneer equipment for my Av..........with an Alpine in right now as a temp unit. I haven't owned any Sony gear in YEARS.

If you're talking about the thread that EnkeiAv and I were talking about Sony equipment........that thread was about their robotics.......and later led to talking about Sony's OLD gear. You probably aren't familiar with it, as it may have been a bit before your time. Sony, years ago, made a line of CD heads that competed with the legendary to some Alpine 7909, it was the U8000. One of the first high volt/low imp decks around. Next came the Mobile ES processor systems. There is no denying that they were, and still are, some of the most flexible and powerful fully integrated car audio signal processing systems on the planet.

Anyway, don't hijack the killer-sub-at-a-cheap-price thread to bash Sony.........

15" eh??? That might take some cutting to fit it under the seat or anywhere else in the truck. >:D

heres where you ramble on and on about how sony "the new ones" are so great. http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?board=158;action=display;threadid=23090
