I went to the North Amiercan Internal Auto Show (Detroit) today. I was very dissapointed. There was only one AV and one EXT. They brought something like 15 H2's and tons of other trucks just hardly any AV's...in fact I also missed it.

Having said that, there was a crowd around both the AV & EXT with several GM tour guides lined up giving private tours of the AV. Also no sign of the claddless AV....I wonder if the poor reception at the LA Show means it's not going to happen?

You know I thought the WBC would have been great but after seeing the changes it made I think I will stick with my Pewter '02 Z66.

Hadn't heard anything about negative reaction at the LA show, but I do know that a lot of people have put in their orders for the WBH.

I talked to a local dealer (understand this is a small midwestern town of 20,000...mostly farmers) that currently has two AVs with cladding. I wanted to find out if they would be getting any WBH so I could see one. He said he wouldn't order another AV unless it was WBH.

I think they are both great trucks but just for different people. The AV works great for me because it is somewhat like the Silverado but with out the added length and a better ride. The only Silverado you can get with the same passenger room is a HD and its about 16 inches longer than the AV. The Silverado HD would barely fit in my garage. I personally like the pics I have seen of the WBH but do like some of the original AVs depending on the base color.

I am disappointed though that there weren't any WBH at Detroit because I was hoping to see more pics of one.
