GOT NOISE'S!!

For those members that, HAVE HAD, front or rear differential bearing failure and/or transfer case bearing failure---

Please post you AV's Built on Date--
to see if there is a trend taking place
or to make other members aware of potential issues--

also, post if your repair order has any TSB info or GM 's acknowledgment of failures?

My Av was "born" August 8/01 in Mexico. I bought AV on
October 4/01.
Had a problem - snapping noise on full stop and immediate acceleraion. Turned out to be "loose rear differential bolt".
Dealership re-torqued all rear differential/suspension fastners.
Not sure if this helps you or not.

Mine is in the shop now for a whole new rearend. The bearing went out and the race was spinning and tore up the housing at the same time.

Mine was built on 9/01/01. Started hearing noise around 20K miles. Right now I have almost 30K miles.

I think someone is not setting up the rearends right and causing premuture bearing failure.
