Driver and passenger window problems

The past few days I've noticed that if I "crack" the windows, to keep the AV cool(er) in the summer time, when I roll them back up, there's a gap between the window and the window seal.  It's like the window jumps the track.

Today I noticed the passenger window actually jumped the track, then jumped back in.

Now I have "jump marks" on the outside of the window seal, and it doesn't look good.

Anyone know how to prevent this from happening?

regulator might be going bad

It's not at the top, like it's not reaching the top - it's along the side, like the window is jumping the track.
