I have an 03 avalanche w/ 5.3 I want to get dual exhaust for her through the back. In other words, not coming out the sides behind the rear wheels. but, I don't want anything too loud, closest to stock. Can some recommend something?

Hate to be the "do a search guy" but this folder is filled with hundreds of posts on the subject.
Any good shop should be able to route the exhaust to where you want it.
The Flowmaster 50 is a good, mellow sounding exhaust.
I've got the FM Super 40

It's not that easy for any one member to give you the answer you are looking for. ?Your best bet is to go to a GTG and listen first hand to those at the GTG that have exhaust mods. ?I have found that exhaust sound is a very personal thing. ?What may be too loud for one, will be perfect for the next person.
I don't know if you plan on doing any towing with your Av or not... But if you do, you may wish to reconsider doing the "out the back" look. ?Anything that you tow will catch any and all exhaust schmootz causing it to discolor. ?I know if I were towing a boat or any other high dollar investment that I wouldn't want this to happen.

Flowmaster 70 Series Big Block is a good choice. Quiet at idle and just enough to tell it's not stock when you get on it. And no interior resonance.
