Electrical problems

I own a 2003 1500 avalanche and I have been having a ton of problems. Most have been electrical; first the interior switch for the fan does not work in 5. This is the second time in 2 months it has gone out. I take it to the dealer and they say that the resistor is out and replace it. I think it has to be something more. Also the instrument cluster has been replaced once already, it just went dead out of the blue one day. The 4x4 switch has been replaced once. And last the shocks had to be replaced. It was making a terrible squeek when driving down the road, took it to the dealer and they replaced the shocks saying that the shaft did not have enough clearence therefor the squeek. All this has happened within 8 months and 14,000 miles. Has anybody else had problems like this or do I have a lemon? My wife and I love the truck and the ride but it spends more time in the shop than on the road. :8:

No furtunately. I have had my AV 3 months and 4K miles and have yet to find any problem, save maybe gas mileage. The sticker said 15/20 and I am getting 13.5/18.5. But on build quality I have been very pleased

Hmmm, you seem to be one of the few having more than just a little problem or two. Good Luck. Sometimes a dealer can mess things up while trying to fix other problems. Maybe look into another service dept.

As far as it just going dead on you...do you have LoJack installed?? I did and it was done all wrong, draining my battery seven times before they finally realized what was going on. To my dealerships' credit, there was never any charge and I got a rental car, 2 new batteries and a new CPU module out of the deal...well over $1,000 in parts. :)
