This is a rant, if necessary please move but do not delete.

I have a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche with 74K miles and brought it to Ewing GMC in Plano. I was offered $13,500 cash by the salesman and he confirmed it with his manager. I went and removed my aftermarket wheels the next day as we agreed since they were not included in the price and returned to sign the paperwork.

I was then told that the "General Manager" cannot offer me $13,500 and will only give me $12,500.

This dealership lied in my face.

They asked for my payoff which I should not have given them since it was less than the sales price. However, this dealership wasted my time and money and I had to share. I warned them that I would inform the Texas Avalanche online community but was given a shrug.

Anybody else ready to picket with me? "Hell no, we wont buy!"

If you guys know of any good dealerships that may pay cash for an Avalanche let me know. It does have higher mileage (74k) but is still in great condition.

I took off work to do this deal and even called the salesman and told him we were on our way. Honestly, I believe it is not the salesman's fault but management over seems "janky".

However the salesman claims he had a buyer already at $17K. Im like, if you have a buyer and you are obviously making a profit then why not buy it outright?

I have a contact at the BBB and am considering filing a complaint. Although the contract was verbal, I have witnessed verbal contracts stand up in a court of law.

Then again, my horoscope today said:

"Be content that you believe what you believe, and that you live consistently with those beliefs. You can't change how other people operate -- it's a sad fact, but it's true."

Does anybody know the dealer principal over at Ewing GMC? I wouldnt mind shooting him an email and a link to this forum.

I just filed a complaint with the BBB. I am requesting they reimburse me for the money I spent to swap my after market rims and tires with the stock rims/tires. Ahhh..that feels good...that will show em I aint playin..

:beating:
