Excessive Wind Noise,

Radio Shack offer an inexpensive Sound Meter (approx $30) that measures sound levels quite accurately.  I've got an '07 LT3 w/ 20" wheels and the sound pressure level in my Av is less than a BMW 5 Series by a considerable amount.

You mean you have to take all 4 mounting points off??

opps, No, just went and looked.  Just 2 mounting points need to be removed.  Now I dont remember why I only removed one crossbar.

So to remove the crossbars: Take off two mounting points 1 from each side.  Either front or rear.  (Rear would be easier as you can stand in the bed).

I don't know if this matters since your AV is newer than mine, the problem may have been fixed on the newer models.  I had wind noise, and the windshield was not seated properly.  They had to glue down the weatherstriping around the windshield.  I had a rock crack my windshield and had to have the whole thing replaced.  When the new windshield was installed, the noise came back.  I took it back to the windshield repair shop that did the work, and they glued the weatherstriping down.  They said that it is a problem on Chevrolets but not on all, so he did not glue it down the first time, because he figured I would not have the problem.  He mentioned he does not glue the weatherstrip down unless the customer requests or bring the vehicle back.  But, the FIRST noise problem was fixed by the dealership because it was a factory warranty problem.

I have the same problem too. The people at the dealership asked me if I installed the bug defelctor which appareantly I didn't. I talked to them like last month and I was supposed to go back. I need to get there before it's too long and they will think it was my fault.
