hey,

Has any one had any problems with the alarm not working?
after reading the manual about the pass key function, reaching in through a rolled down windo and opening the drivers door your supposed to get an alarm :8: yeah right, nothing happens ??? I have tried just about everything to get the alarm to go off :C: and I get nothing, would someone tell me what I'm doing worng?

thanks :2:

Are you locking the doors with the remote?

I have had that problem when one of the doors is not shut. If one of the doors is closed but not all the way the remote will lock but the alarm will not go off.

Something has to be wrong. I lock the doors with the window down and reach into the AV and open the door and I get the alarm. I thought that's the way they all worked.

dmacker,

Are you waiting for the security system to arm? It takes about 20+ seconds........

i just discovered this today.. my dealer told me the alarm only went off if someone tried to start the av without the key.. i'll tell u, it scared the heck outta me! tried to do it again but it wouldn't work.. didn't wait at all tho.. now i know why! :0:

The door must be locked with the button, not the key fob. When you open your door the security light should flash. When you lock the door the security light should go solid. Upon closing the door the security light should go out. If anyone tries to open the door without the key or key fob the alarm will sound. Try opening your window prior to setting the alarm. After setting, reach in and unlock manually, then open door. The alarm should sound. I am amazed at the stories that some dealers tell folks. Some of the stuff is so stupid it's funny. I hope this helps. :)
