I have a 08 4x4 I can not put more then a 3/4 of a tank in. Anyone else have this problem. If so what did u do to fix it.

There are many threads discussing this issue, if you do a word search you should find the older threads dealing with the fuel vapor parts connected to the filer neck of the tank. Most of the time you need to replace the evaporator solenoid, check vapor lines for pinching etc.
Once fixed don't overfill the tank and try to get just a few more "clicks" from the pump. Also as a side note try not to run your AV with an almost empty tank since sludge can get pick up and gum up things too.

VAeagleav has it right. Change the vapor canister and clean out the lines to/from the vapor canister, as they may be filled with charcoal that released from the failed vapor canister.

Vapor canister:

Personally I would change the evap vent valve while I was under it unless it's been replaced before. For only $35 I wouldn't want to crawl back under again. But this part is probably not necessary for your current issue or you would have a check engine code.

I have the same problem, the nozzle clicks off instantly when I try to fill my tank and it takes forever to fill it. I have replaced the evap. canister , the evap. vent selonoid, and the purge valve. and nothing works. I would be willing to go to the dealer but who knows what that would cost. I'm sure an arm and both legs.

The lines between the canister and fuel tank, and/or canister and vent are almost certainly clogged. When the old canister fails, it releases carbon pellets that clog the lines. To remedy, disconnect both lines from both ends respectively, and blow out with shop air.

Had that problem on my Tahoe. All fixed now
There is a canister under the truck filled with charcoal and probly gas now. It can be replaced or modified so you can pump away.
Sucks when you can only trickle gas in20230118_170556.jpg
