(y) (y) It took my a while this afternoon, but I finally got our Av detailed after 3 weeks of crappy weather--usually it never goes without for more than one week. It was disgusting! Wheels caked with black and brown junk and the paint something other than black. Hmm, of course now it's going to rain and snow on Wednesday and Thursday! I guess that's better than the past few weeks where I'd get it cleaned Sunday afternoon and it would rain by lunchtime on Monday.

I'm telling you....I'm moving to San Diego in a few years, or at least somewhere close! Just so I don't have to deal with temps in the 20's and 30's and it's nice, warm, and dry. Anyhow, take a look at the attachment!

I miss my shiny Av

I don't even want to admit how long it's been since I've washed it.

For the heck of it, here's one of a wheel too. This time I used my new Meguiar's Hot Shine tire spray. Looks like a keeper (I've only tried about 25....!).

Thanks--when you also run a part-time detailing business, at least one of your vehicles has to look tip top!

:B: :B:
Beach,

Good thing you're not in Jersey today......I could'nt even SEE my Av in the driveway for all the fog.......they even shut the Turnpike for a few hours it was that bad...... :p :p :p

Looks Good!

Today must be wash your vehicle day. After washing the AV, I proceeded to wash a minivan, a Camaro, then cleaned a 3 car garage!

No wonder I'm beat!

Wow...so that's what a shiny clean Av looks like.....man..I forgot what they look like....man hasn't looked that clean since before the storm...... :8:

clean looking truck, I think mine is blue ;D
rained couple days ago, supposed to rain/sleet for the next 4 days off and on. Waiting for the sprin to see the av I bought 6 months ago.

Nice job on your AV. Wish mine was as clean. :D

At present, I could win a "dirty AV" contest cause of all the snow we have here.

its supposed to snow here again on wednesday (in VA) so I decided against washing it on this very beautiful monday. It was short weather!

Hmmm, a part-time detailing business.............do you make long distance house calls?

I've had enough....I'm taking the av to the carwash...today regardless if it snows..so here we go...

Dirty you have not seen dirty unless you saw my truck yesterday after about 20cm. (8 inches) of snow here in ontario on saturday I drove to toronto and man you should have seen my AV. yesterday it was covered in road salt from top to bottom I mean even the roof had salt all over it and the build up of snow on the running boards was just unreal ..............so even though it was cold I could not stand it any longer and plugged about $10.00 in the local hand wash bay and boy did it look good for about 1 minute until the crappy salt started to build up again ...................ohhhhhhhhhhhh I so long for a summer day when i can spend all day cleaning .....

It's almost two weeks since I bought my Av and it hasn't been clean for more than two days at a time. Right now it's not only dirty but covered with ice! We're still below freezing and under a couple inches of ice from last night. What a mess!

I am right there with ya....what a snowy mess we have here in Ontario!! My "black" AV is "white" and the tires are "grey" not "black", and white letters ? what letters?
Oh well, it will pass and we too will have clean AV's again. :2:

I cant stand my AV to be dirty! :p
Ive been out there freezing my butt off hand washing and waxing...
I thought I got frost bite once ;)

Well....I was going to wash the Av again today..but we are supposed to get dumped on with some more snow..so it's going to have to wait....I don't like wasting my money....

i got it clean while it was 70 here early in the week...then i think njav put a jinx on us ....now it has rained for 2 days and extremley to cold to be washing it......i have heard rumor that our rain tonight is suppose to turn into ice.....and monday night they are suppose to be callin for snow...the only good thing about that is in eastern nc if the weather man calls for snow it is normally nice...if they say it is going to be clear then we get crappy weather.....i guess i'll have to wait it out to try and clean it up again...........lee

There's just too much sloppy weather here right now to make it worthwhile cleaning. It's snowing again now.. The township laid down brine solution earlier to keep the snow from sticking and the roads from freezing. Tomorrow morning will probably be another salty mess. I wish it would either just stay deep snow so we could have fun Avving in it, or just keep it away, altogether.
We're supposed to get more snow Monday.

I guess all this snow talk sounds like whining if you're in Canada or Alaska, but we long for some time without all the salty roads here.

Imaniguana...you should be getting pounded right about now...it just started up here......but I will tell you this..if it doesn't snow at least 4 to 6 inches...I'm going to wash it tomorrow....it's white and looks more like butter....not good....
