finally done installing escalade dash with 2012 head unit

Wow! Very clean job!  (y) I actually gasped when I saw the pic of the dash removed! Now be honest, how many "extra" parts did you end up with. Haha! Last dash I worked on, I ended up with a few screws and spacers.  :E:

lol now that you mention it i was missing screws must have secured it to well since i could not get it to move when i needed to move it fwd some  :E:

Get those pics soon! :)

I'm just trying to figure out if something like this is worth it.  I know you had to do some slight modifications for the clock but, overall, did this affect functionality of the vehicle at all?  My Av is my daily driver [since I already have a toy] and I'd rather not mod into problems, ya know?  So, if you could, what exactly did you have to modify and did these mods have an affect on the truck's functionality?  If so, is it a relatively easy fix?

all the functions are the same nothing changed but the look and feel of the interior i think it is worth it the interiors are way diffrent and i just think the escalade dash seems to stand out alot and i like the feel too it

I like it much better without the wood look. (y)

Quick question do u still have the avalanche dashboard? If so does it have any cracks and how much would u sell it for?  >:D

Great mod

Let the nay sayers be damned. You need no justification on what you can afford. Your hard work is appreciated by many and despised by few (those with no vision)

fantastic effort and the conversion looks really good !!,

do you by any chance have the instructions on how you got your original dash out ? I cant find them anywhere

SS

i dont have a manual for taking of the dash but its not hard two bolt on both sides 4 on top  and dissconect all harness and remove dash

I was hoping to keep the original dash out pictures with the quote for my reply.

It was a whole more than I expected to see. I fondly recall a few members that worked themselves to death integrating the Cadillac Nav System into the 03 Avalanches with a lot less access than you had.

Great Job!

Please do keep us entertained with your happy hands and pleasant diversions.

Let me know if need any help and such, I have a set going on mine. I had to build a harness because I could not find one.

I had the wiring diagram, another member works for a GM supplier and ordered all the connectors from Power signal.

Nope there still sitting in the garage I have to fab up a mounting bracket since I have a 03.
