Finally got some GM Headrest DVD Players

I've been wanting them since I got the Av, finally got permission to buy them!  Found a great deal on Ebay and installed them myself.  So much nicer then the factory flip down DVD in our Tahoe, and now my little girl actually wants to ride in the Av over the Tahoe!! >:D

How much did you pay for them?  My dealer had some in a show case.  The sticker showed $1299.00.  They were on both headrest players.  I do not know if that meant for one or both.

Got them for $850 shipped on Ebay.  Seller name was wizbng72
 
Always liked these more so than the flip down.....great job on the install, and that little girl has great taste too!  :cool:  Thanks for posting the pics!
 
Those monitors are awesome!  A bit too much money for me, but if you can afford the good stuff, I say get it!  Great job on the install too.

I'm bringing this thread back to life....

Would really like to find a set of these for a reasonable price. Anyone know where to find them under $1000.

I know the vizualogics are available and they would be my second choice, but at the moment I'd like to find the GM OEM dvd headrest players.

The 2007 headrests will NOT fit.  They are totally different.  Just keep checking ebay!  I see them pop up on there for $800-900.  They are usually a "buy it now" and seem to go pretty fast.

Thanks for the info. How are yours holding up?  I'm really trying to hold out for a set at a bargain price instead of paying the typical $1600-1800.  How do you and your family like them, picture quality and veiw from the rear seats?

I'm the problem! I am so confused at this point. I want it to all be as one - Dash, Headrest and Visor with better quality sound than I have now.

Sorry for the late response!  They are AWESOME!  Excellent quality, they work perfectly!

The ones that I purchased are the OEM GM units.  They are all in one.  The DVD inserts into the top of the headrest itself.  You can play a different movie on each headrest, or just put the movie into one of the headrests and it can play on both.  You can listen to sound through the factory radio/speakers, or they came with 2 sets of wireless headphones as well.
 
That is a very clean and cool setup.
I like and will add this to my wish list.
Is the headset bluetooth or wirless?

Yeah I had seen those but wasn't 100% sure if the color would match. I posted in 3 different places on the site if the light cashmere was close enough to the med nuetral, but never got a straight answer.  Its little things like matching color that I am ver anal about.
