How about a mini-meet at Spicers? I live right around the corner, and cannot make it to the Kensington meet.

That's fine by me. My family will probably be in around noon and we should be at the Spicers between 1:30 and 2:30, tenatively. Actually, I was thinking of telling my extended family to meet me, my fiance, and our son at the orchard so us AVers could meet even earlier. Tell me what you think.

Just curious: Why can you make it there and not to Kensington?

I just got word, the drive-in decided to close early. They are usually open the last weekend in Sept., but I guess recent weekends have been slow, so no drive-in.

I understand if you can't make it, but just remember we will be at Kensington all afternoon, and maybe into the early evening, so maybe you would be able to stop by for a little bt, if not for the entire time.

I can't make the GTG. It's football season and there is an intrastate rivalry that weekend: Notre Dame at Purdue!!! My AV will be in service as a tailgate vehicle.

Well I saw a truck today that you could have invited.
Man do I ever wish I had had my camera with me I have NEVER seen anything like it, of any make or model.

Parked in the Appleby's at Mount Pleasant.
2002 or 2003 Pewter Av.
Flames at bottom of tailgate. Devil graphic around the tailgate handle
Handle bars of some kind sticking up out of the sail cross bar (where the spoiler would be)
Round mirrors of different sizes glued to the outside of the truck running up and down both sides of the truck. Mirrors appeared to be from 2 inches to 1 in diameter. Likely 12 to 15 on each side.
Pipes cut up from the engine through the hood.
Small figurines or characters glued to the dashboard.

I didn't have the stones to walk around and look at the front end.

Do we have a weather plan or is it going to be rain or shine? I looked at the weather for Saturday and they are predicting rain. I am planning on attending. Put me down for three.

There are a few covered areas there, hopefully on will be available.

Also, since I have not decided on an actual location in the park, I will be making up a sign, so just look for the Avalanche mountain logo, and CAFCNA GTG......

Also, I just pm'd everyone a sheet to fill out, please get them back ASAP.

Update.....the location in the park will be "possum hollow" , just follow the signs, or ask for directions from the "guys" at the entrance booths....

I probably won't be able to make it on Saturday, we are going to the D-Zoo to look for a new puppy, if we find one early enough I'm gonna try and make it out there before having to go out for my gfs dad's bday. Don't worry about food for me and I already have DRLs.

BTW, what do you do? the company I work for is hiring a lot of tech people right now if your looking for a spot (Southfield) talk to you soon
