Has anyone had this plastic carrier break. I need the GM part number if someone has it. Last night when I got home I saw that my drivers side fog lamp was just loose as heck. THe plastic holder was broke on one side. Thanks in advance...

If you are refering to the black plastic mount that holds the light to the front fascia, you my friend like alot us of are out of luck. GM does not sell just the black mount. You have to buy the whole light assembly. At $94.50 list price each it is such a waste to spend that much money just to get the mount...

Trust me I'm there.... :7: :7:

I just had to replace my passenger side fog lamp this week. They claimed I must have driven into a snow bank, I did not recall. $130.00 later, it is replaced . I think this bracket may be a design flaw, am watching to see if the other one breaks or if the same one breaks again.

Totally sucks that you can't buy that part by itself. I think I may need to get mine replaced also . . . my fog too is feeling a little loose.

:8:Mine are both loose, so I want to get new brackets, but GM wants you to spend your money for the complete unit. That sucks. :8: What is the part number for the left and right side units?

Maybe I will get new ones and play with some mods on my old ones >:D

I know, I know, I'm an Admitted Modaholic.

Sounds like I am not the only one that has had this problem. Does anyone know a GM rep that could help us on this one. Al least let us just buy the mount....Looks to me like they have a warranty issue here..

I guess I was Lucky. The dealer warrantied my fog lamp assembly for me. The left side. You could take your hand and push the whole light in. That's about all I've luck getting fixed. Still leaks like a monsoon.

I also have had this problem. During the snow storm I noticed that my drivers side fog light bracket was broken and my light was litteraly hanging by a thread! I took it to my dealer and they said they did not have the part so they gave me the part number and I called a dealer in California since I was headed that way. When I got there they replaced it and lucky for me the warranty covered it!
