Folding Mirror Problem

I have an 03 and when I return the mirrors from the folded position the driver side mirror defaults to the parking assist location. ?I have tried reseting the location, but it keeps going back everytime I unfold them. And it does not go up until I manually adjust them again. ?Has this happened to anyone else? ?Am I doing something wrong? ?

Also, is there a way to manually place the mirrors in the parking assist position and than back? ?The owners manual does not seem to cover that.

Thanks

I have the same problem. I need to fold them in when I park in my garage.
What I do is fold them in....pull the truck in then fold them out.
When I pull the truck out I fold the mirrors in and pull out and fold the mirrors out.

I noticed when I would unlock the truck with the keyfob the mirrors seem to struggle to set in position when they were folded in

I asked my dealer about this and they told me the mirror can not reset when folded.
After you fold them out put the truck in park and hit the seat recall ???

For a while I considered trading in my 02 Z66 for an 03 model because i really wanted the folding mirror option.

Right now, I am able to pull into the garage but i have to roll down my window first then manually fold the driver window in. After pulling out, I just push it back out. All this takes a matter of seconds.

After hearing your experience with this power folding mirror hassle, i'm not sure if its worth it trading to an 03 if i still have to get out of the truck to unfold it.

After reading this I went out and folded my mirrors in, and then unfolded them, and I didn't have an issue as they adjusted right back to my normal driving positions ???

For what it's worth, I power-fold my mirrors quite frequently, and they ALWAYS return to the driver-programmed location. My wife uses the curb-view, and I don't, but both of us fold the mirrors and have them return properly. It seems that something may be wrong with your mirrors.

I also love the turn signals built in the mirrors. :)

I seem to remember from reading in the Av owners manual (the online version since I don't have my truck yet) that there are two memory settings. The normal driving setting, and the curb-view memory setting.

My guess is that both settings need to be "re-memorized" using your profile.

Have you tried that?

Then again, what do I know, I don't even have the truck yet! :-X :p

T-minus 11 days! Woo Hoo!
