Four Wheel Parts Damage

Guys,

I had a 4" lift kit placed on the Avalanche about 10,000 miles ago. Now my front drivers side tire has a huge wear on the inside of the tire. So I took it back for replacement and repair. I also had a nail in my rear tire, and asked them to take care of that as well.

But now they are saying the excessive wear is my fault and they are not responsible for replacing the tire. Also when they did the nail repair, I had a blow out. Had it towed back to four wheel parts for repair and Alignment. Now my chrome on my Boss 303's is peeling and scratch marks around the rim. Once again they are saying it is my fault for that too and not going to pay for either one.

Stay away for these guys in Oakland, California. They do terrible work and damage your car. I only have 13,000 mile on my truck and it's undriveable.

I hate to hear that happen to you. Just curious...when you did get you lift kit installed did you have a wheel alignment done? And were you rotating your tires? When you lift you vehicle it is a rule of thumb to rotate your tires more often than that of a non lifted vehicle. Hope you get things worked out.

Yes, they performed the wheel alignment before they finished the truck. I have rotated the tires every 6000 miles as recommended on the Toyo Tire site. Every other tire is fine and has no damage, but the one they re-aligned has the inner tire damage. They also fail to admit their tire machine ripped the chrome off my truck.

When I was picking my truck up another customer was picking up a spare 33" mud tire and was quite upset that they put a huge gash in the sidewall of the tire. Another customer was dropping her daughters truck off and cussing at the guy that they messed up her lift kit too. So it seems they have a track record for terrible service.

If its that bad then I would contact the BBB and see what you can do. Maybe a lawsuit would be in order....if they are as bad as they sound I'm sure there used to lawsuits. Good luck

Actually I would contact 4 Wheel Parts corporate and discuss it with them. I'm sure they would be very interested to hear about crappy work and service.

Sorry to here about your problems BIgg_Lee.

I guess I am even more happy now that I went with Lift Kit Warehouse in Antioch. They have been real good about their customer service so far.

After contacting corporate and BBB they replaced the tire and rim. Thanks for the help guys.

BTW: FlynHigh - Thought I saw you the other day - Man you drive FAST!!!!
