left Newport News yesterday on my way to the Savannah GTG. thought i would leave early to finish a project i did not get to finish at the in-laws.
stopped at a truck accessory place off I-95 just outside of Fayetteville, NC. the operators of the shop were really nice guys. they mentioned they were looking for an AV to do a cladding paint job on.
naturally i thought they meant as an experiment project to show off their shop's abilities. well, i could not have been more wrong. he said it was not for free. but would only charge $1800. not too bad i thought. then he explained he would paint every piece of grey cladding Indigo Blue on the truck. the deal was getting better by the minute.
unfortunately, i need to save my money for a '68 Pontiac Tempest i'm buying when i return from the GTG. then i will be trying to mod the AV and trick out the Tempest. hmmm, that reminds me, i will need a trailor to tow the Pontiac to cool events. man i need more money.
