Since it is going to be official in a couple hours now (and a lot of you know about it) here it goes... I am trading in the 07.? Unfortunately, nothing is free in life, including free Avalanches, and with my work situation (among other things) I just can't afford the 07 anymore.? Good news is, I am getting another Av.? I originally went up to my dealership to look at an 04 BB Av, but it was sold before I got there.? Another one caught my eye though.? It is a white 02 Z71, with 65k or so miles, VERY clean truck, well taken care of.? I have been thinking about doing this for a long time, and they offered me a fair trade.? So if anyone is looking for a well loved, slightly modded 07 check out Al Serra Chevy in the next week or so? >:D

losing Nav, gaining 2nd cargo light
losing Sunroof, gaining hood light
losing leather, gaining cladding
losing roof rack, gaining $8k in my pocket
losing 5 years, gaining $120/mo (plus 2 less years on loan!)
Seems like a fair trade for me, and it works for what I need to do right now.? First mod will be ambers (obviously) and then dual exhaust probably tomorrow.? Hopefully get some of the lighting mods done at the Eagles Nest this weekend, along with the tailgate lock mod.
I will post pics when I get home from the dealership!

Did you buy your 07 or lease?? I have been trying to do the same thing with mine but I am negative equity about $3000
 
Congrats..I have thought about trading mine down before...but since I only owe about 17k at this point I would only be losing money. About the only way I would do it would be if I stumbled accross a lifted one......and don't forget ?:nopics:

I won the 07  >:D
I owe about 15k on it though due to the taxman... trade in was 33k... and I'm putting quite a bit down on this one...

That was gonna be my question too... daaaaayum. 

Then again, it was the Av plus a years worth of m&m's or something... maybe that's why it was so high.

all are replaceable: $400.00 gps unit for navigation (garmin,etc)
sunroof $500-$1000 gettin' mine in a couple of weeks
roof rack ,lots of options (yakima,thule,perrycraft)
$8k in your pocket for all these plus the other mods??
and yah still have a sweet ride!! glad things worked out for yah. can't wait to see it nad you guys fri-sat??  :cheers:

It was income tax, I got a W-2 from GM... and the based it on the sticker of the truck-48k.  The years supply of Reeses was only $1,000 worth, so that wasn't too bad.  The worst part is that it bumped me up a tax bracket, so according to the IRS I made over six figures last year (I wish)!
 
A YEARS worth of Reeses, and this is the first I've heard of this, I LOVE REESES, hehe

Sounds like you made the right deal for you. The '02 should last a long time, the insurance cost drop is a bonus.

Unfortunately, the years supply only lasted about a month, got em right around Halloween, and needless to say there were some happy kids trick or treating.  I was also the most popular guy in the office for a month or two  >:D
