Front mounted hitch sourcing issues

I was looking at putting a part-time winch install onto the front of my 05 1500 Z71. I was wondering if the hitch for the 2500 from Curt (#31108 ) would fit the 1500 with modifications to the bumper valance (hole in it) to use the receiver. I am having a hard time sourcing the part listed to fit the 1500 which hangs out under the valance (#31302).

Or any other suggestions....

I have a warren front receiver on my 02. Mounts to Frame. had to drill 2 holes. others were factory.

Just purchased and Instaled A WARN Reciver Kit #66215
This is on My 02 Z71 Clad

Cost was under $190 Install time little over 2 Hr.
(with help from my 3 year old) From getting tools to clean up.

Install Required drilling of Four 7/16" Holes in to frame rails.

Also Cuting a 3"wide slot just under the license plate, for the reciver to stick through.

Install of bolts are english and metric.(I used all Metric tools and got through the install, 10mm, 17mm, 19mm sockets and open end Wrenches are needed.
Used 7/16"drill and dry wall knife to cut front clading.

Also used BLUE Loc-Tite on all nuts and bolts.

Thank you. Got a Draw-Tite 65028 coming, should fit, but I’ll pr have to do some drilling. I’ll post when I get it installe.

I also installed the Warn 66215 front receiver on my '05 Z71 cladded AV. I bought it on amazon in 2009 but it shows as not available there now.

I realize this thread is a few years old but in case anyone is ever looking later i just did the Curt 31302 on my 02 Z71 with cladding. Took less than an hour start to finish. no drilling required but i did have to trim the underside of the plastic bumper skirting, basically tow hook to tow hook but you cant tell unless you are underneath it . i also had to remove a small support that basically supports the lower center of the bumper cladding, it's just four 10mm bolts and mine was super rusty. it doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference with the support removed. The Curt receiver is tucked back pretty far. I'll probably need an extension to use most anything i'd use a front hitch for

For some, it may be easier to back a trailer into a stall if going forward in the truck.

I back my 25' Party barge up a very slight incline and into a barn type stall, but that's all I've ever known and I seem to manage just fine.

Maybe frontwards would be easier, but I will never know.

As EXT4ME states, trailer parking (I've never had a front receiver, towing mirrors work great for me to back in)
also a convenient way to mount:
a winch
a snow plow
a bicycle mount
a step to reach the engine
Snow plow? Could use one of those.

whats the point of a front receiver?

i've had them on every truck i've ever owned. Mostly use for fishing rod holders ( surf fishing and fly rods) but they come in handy for bike racks and such as well. I feel like it's one of those things that you can get by perfectly fine without, but once you have it you wonder why it isn't standard from the factory.

The only downside is they tend to not be cheap and the usual retail price can be $200+ i usually have good luck finding used ones cheap and in good shape. The Curt 31302 I just put on my '02 was used but in great shape for $50
