Torx head bolts

But you can get it off with 15 mm and 18 mm sockets easier with deep well sockets

such quick replies!!  I  you guys!

The bolts are in back the front are nuts

Yep, you guys rock.

A 15mm worked on the nuts up front

A 11mm worked on the  bolts on the rear

THANKS AGAIN.

Naw just experienced at taking out the seats, took mine out 4 times twice to replace console twice to replace the amp. these are suppose to be a anti theft item I never did find a deepwell torx socket

I'll post pics in another thread of what this disaster really looks like.

Just one word of advise if you think about pulling out ALL your interior:  DONT

Espeacially if you already ran aux. wires for anything, glow, strobes ect.

I think I found a french fry from the drive thru while taking it on its test drive the day i bought it.

I did this before on my AVA, During a change from cloth to leather. Why are you doing this bro?

Sam

Why are you doing this bro?

He said it's a secret until the mod is finished.

I think the main reason for the secretiveness is:
If his mod is not working he can still tell us, it was just to clean the truck under the carpet!  :kidding:

Schelbi.

What?  Cleaning under the carpet isn't normal?? >:D

Can you give a bit of detail on why you don't recommend this? I am getting ready to start taking everything out for a leak and want to know what challenges I will run into with the front seats. Thanks

This is great information. Everything looks pretty detailed. However, I am really worried about the SIR system disablement. Any further support/info would be appreciated.

Also - if I do get the SIR fuse out, I noticed you said not to turn the car back on. With the passenger seat removed, can I put the SIR fuse back in to make the Av driveable again? I don't know if I will be able to get everything done in one weekend.

Just be careful, here's some additional info. It describes disabling the zones. I prefer to disable the whole system

Great posts- Thanks for the information. Do you know the answer to the following:

You will put up a code on the DIC and the AV will probably disable the system, and some times (not sure why) it will call onstar if you have it. By the you do have the side air bags in the seats if you don't you don't have to bother with the airbag system.

No they will not deploy, but understand it is not safe to drive around without the system enabled. The AVY are built to have these bags on in case of a collision.
