FYI to anyone getting the RCD 6" lift for the 2500 Avalanche. Once you have the lift installed the stock wheels and tires will not fit on the front due to the backspacing. RCD recomments 4.5" or less.

I found out the hard way when I had my lift installed last Friday and was going to ride home on the stock wheels and tires. The new bracket touches the back of the front wheel and won't allow wheel movement. I had ordered a wheel package online but was able to cancel that order and buy thru my lifts installer.

Hope this helps.

FYI: I'm running 35's on 16" wheels on my 2003 2500 4x4 with the RCD 6" suspension lift. The tires are 315/75R-16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO's and the wheels are American Eagle 16x8"

Take a look at some pics - click on the link in my signature below...

I ended up going with the Weld Super Single II 16x8 on Mickey Thompsons 285/75 x16 (33x11.50). I had orginally the Mickey Thompsons 305/75 x16 (33x12.50) but the front wheel and tire stuck out from the fender well about 2.5". Now Front tire only out about 1.5". As soon as I get pic's I will let you all know.

Hello,
I think out of all of the Avalanche lift, the RCD seems to be the best made. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you all pay?

According to the first post, the Alcoa wheels that I'm planning have a backspacing of 4.250. They should fit.

You should be able to buy the RCD 6" suspension lift for $1500 or less. The installation should run less than $600. (y)

Disclaimer: These are SoCal prices where there is competition for suspension lifts and services. If there is less competition where you live then you could expect to pay more.
