GM in the driveway

I'm new to the board, trading in my Ford Lightning for an 04 AV!! I have read all the posts relating to the GM in the Driveway cert. Does anyone on the board have any they would like to share? Appreciate any help, can't wait to officially join the family. Thanks, Jeff

Well I have certainly enjoyed the Lightning, especially after moding it out to get over 450 hp+ (not quite equal to your 500+ hp) . I will certainly miss the acceleration rush, but with 2 teenagers and their friends, it's just getting too inconvenient. Plus there is absolutely no traction in any type of snow! I am sooo tired of borrowing my wife's Lexus R300 (with all wheel drive) any time it snows. I never realized that with the super fat tires on a Lightning, the tires just glid over any type of snow and spin in a heart beat. The Lightning has been great. I might get another if they come out with all wheel drive. As it is right now (and I am sure you are aware), any time I floor it under 30 mph all I do is spin!! No use in having all that horsepower if you can't plant it. It's time to get a more all around, convenient vehicle. Besides, I am already considering putting a supercharger on the AV. It will never be as quick as the Lightning, but an extra 130hp should be fun!! Damn the warranty, full steam ahead. Jeff
