Hi All:

I just wanted to put my deal out to the community (which I love by the way) before I sign on the dotted line. Let me know what you think. 2004 Avalanche, Z71, loaded with everything but DVD. Stickers at $43,700. Dealer is selling it at $38,000 even and then $5000 rebate on top of that. Giving me $33,500 for a 2004 Tahoe Z71 with 3000 miles on in (loaded). I am saving about $1500 in sales tax due to the trade value.

The dealer also threw in 4 oil changes, 2 tire rotations, and lifetime car washes in their brand new touchless wash bay.

Thoughts? Thanks for your help!

If I'm reading this right, he is paying you money? If $38K - $5K is 33K and he's giving you $33.5K plus all the freebies, he is paying you $500 plus the freebies?

That is correct. $500 more in equity toward the financing (I still owe money on the Tahoe). So the extra $500 gets added to the difference between $33,500 and my payoff amount to help lower my payment.

Looks like a good deal but run figures through Edmunds.com.
You can price out your new AV with all options as well as price out your Tahoe and all it's options. Edmunds will also give you the rebates and financing options available.
I'm sure you will be happy with the AV.
