Good Sub Location

GUEST
Recently I've purchased an red Z71 avalanche and i love it because its different and I'm the only one on my side of town that owns one because they simply put navigators and expeditions to shame. But the reason im writing is for advice because i wanted to install some sub woofers and i was wondering is it possible to get maybe 4 15's in a customized box in the back (bed of truck) or maybe even 3 positioned up under the backseat facing up because i really want subs but lack an idea on where to put them.

Devon,

There are tons of discussions on this issue. ?Search through the Audio/Video forum.

In response to your question, No way will you ever fit 3 15's under the back bench. ?I highly doubt being able to even fit 3 8's even with a very expensive custom made enclosure.

I'm in your same situation right now. ?I've got my whole system done except for the sub situation. ?I'v got 2 kicker 10's and wanted to put one on each side under the rear bench, but it's not possible to get the size enclosure I need under there. (1 cu ft each). So I'm trying to sell those 10's and will probably end up doing a single dvc 12 in the middle of the floor in the back.

For the kind of bass your talking about, the bed is the only way to go, and it would not sound to well without your midgate down.

I suggest you read the thread about the SUb location...It has tons of info......
