Nice lift! It's going to look even better when you get your wheels and tires. Please post pic when you get your new shoes.

That looks silly but will look sweeeeeeeet once you get some rubber under it.

Does CST have a website? I'd like to learn a little more about the lift but couldn't find any info through Google.

Joe

very nice. please give us a detailed report on the performance off-road (with photos) once you get some new tires on it.

HAHAHA Actual Swatdoc, if you drive that around the Daytona Beach and DeLand area in Florida it would fit right in.... We have lots of lifted projects trucks that don't get rims or tires for months, it's a hell of a site... >:D

Gettin close doc! Can you walk to work though ;D Just kidding. CST's website is www.californiasupertrucks.com for anyone interested in more info.

Actually, Im not working right now, so it's giving me a little time to fix up the new truck. Had shoulder surgery about 3 mos. ago - was bench pressing at work and tore the cartilage and biceps tendon off the bone - had to have it sewn back together inside, and it takes about 3 mos. for it to grow back together and get strong enough to really use it. The little vacation is nice, BUT ALL THE FUN STUFF I'M MISSING IS KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :C:

Can't wait to see the picture after the wheels are on >:D

How's the ride now? What rims and shoes are you getting?

this is from his other post "The body lift is on"

HOPEFULLY my tires/wheels come in next week - went with the 17x10 Weld Stonecrushers and 37x13.50-17 Fun Country II radials.
I do NOT want to be driving around with 11" of lift and stock tires!!!!!
well it looks like your drivin around with 11" of lift and stock tires :p
But it will look sweet when you get them shoes

hey look on the brightside, I can guarantee you that you will not have any rubbing issues... >:D

Ow! Ow! OWWWWWWCH!!!

Just reading that hurts!

Hope you're feeling better -- I'm sure the lift helps (y)

Einkei - Getting 37x13.50-17 Fun Country II radials with Weld Stonecrusher wheels - 17x10's.
Torsion bars are cranked up there! If I remember correctly, the distance from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom edge of the whell well was about 2" more in the rear when stock - does this sound about right guys? Anyway, now there is about 1" MORE distance in the front. When looking from the side on flat ground, it appears the front wheelwells are cut a little higher than the rear, 'cause the truck seems level. A-arms are not yet topped out - I still have about a half inch or so of clearance between the arms and the drop-stops, which should equate to 2-3" inches of travel out at the wheels - I think!
Now, for the ride - seems a little more firm than stock, but no big deal. It's still the smoothest truck I've owned - MUCH softer suspension than my old Toyota 4x4 with double shocks up front! I think it will ride even better when my new tires are on as they should cushion the ride a little more.
It does seem like many on this board are VERY concerned with the ride after turning up the torsion bars. Like I said, it is a little more stiff, but certainly not a bad ride. If I was that concerned about the smooth ride, I'd buy a "79 Lincoln Continental! :)
Here's a pic to show how much down travel I have left in the arms before they top out.

I thought so too at first, but i realized it's a 2wd. I was wondering where some of the parts were!

Mud!
