Finally got the 20's on. It sure rides great.

Man, that looks nice........One day I will have 20's. right now I am working on an Escalade cluster. One small mod at a time. that way maybe the wife will forget about the last mod. >:D
 
I was quite nervous about selecting the rim. Was not sure it would look right. But I WOW after it was on. It really makes it look AWSOME. Too bad it rained last night after I got them on. Time for some crusin this weekend. My wifes first comment was"Is it still my truck?" I said yeaaaaaa. Got to keep her happy. Hopefully next year I can get the spinners for it.
 
Thanks, No rubbing at all. Only mod was to remove the 2 clips per rotors that gm puts on to get a snug fit. Tires are GoodYear Eagle GTII's Bought at Discount tire for 1993.xx included lugs, locks and the tire warranty
 
Looks like the only difference is you have the center cap and I have the lugs exposed. How many miles do forsee the GTII's getting?
 
AAARRRRGGHHHH!!!!

I'm pulling my hair out trying to decide if I want to go the 20" chrome route or the lift route (don't think they go together well).

You ride looks great, now I want 20's again, tomorrow I see a lifted Av and want the lift, I can't sleep, I can't eat...

THANKS. I wanted the lift also but I only have aabout 3 inches on my top clearance on the garage door (8ft) so lift was out. I am so happy with the look of the wheels. Go with the 305's if you get the rims, they are worth it cause it looks like a small steam roller from behind. At discount tire, they told me the price would be the same for the 305's and the 285's. I measured last night and the tires are 12 inches in with, my factory was 8 inches :eek:

The GTII have a higher tread ware rating than a lot of other 20 in tires. But I'd be guessing if I said how long I thought they would last.
 
Thanks all. I am really enjoying the wheels. All my neighbors are jealous. They are real sharp wheels.
