;D ?We'll the wait is over and I finally got my Wheel and Tire Package installed this last weekend. ?I am very happy with the results! ?After all of those sleepless nights I think that I made the right call. ? ?I went with BF Goodrich AT KO's (265/70R-17) on American Racing Python Chrome Rims. Chek it out!:

Let me know what you think!

Very nice! It's surprising how those wheels give the optical illusion of larger wheels and tires. At least thats how it appears to me. Which ever, enough to say, it looks great. Good job!

Since mine are new too...I will post on your parade. I like the Pythons...But I got American Eagle Alloys(cause I can buy them cheap) Mine has the lumps around the rim to match the lumps on the cladding. I opted for the 285/75/16 BFG KO's ...so the wheel wells wouldn't look so empty and square. A little surgery is necessary, but the look is brutal! click here

Great lookin' trucks guys. The tire/ wheel combo's definetly set the tone fo rthe trucks. Mine are more street looking with 18" wheels and low profile tires. Kind of a So. Cal. thing. Anyway good job!!!!!

Chevynut....great looking rims...In my opinion you can't go wrong with the Pythons or the Atlas....they really are a good looking wheel... :) :)

Nice wheels, it's amazing how wheels can add so much to a vehicle.

To anyone who is looking for some great wheels for a 2500 or 1500 I highly recommend these. ?Nobody has them and they really high light the AV's looks. ?I got mine for $250 each, chrome-plated. ?They are very very easy to keep clean and they won't tarnish or pit like cheap AR wheels and AE wheels. ?My truck also handles tons better with an extra 2 inches of offset on each side and the rear axle dosen't look so narrow anymore. ? ?

I have had cheap American Racing wheels that I had to wax every week during the winter and I've had expensive momo wheels that were junk. ?These are bar far the best wheels I've had.

Also: for anyone that is getting tires please don't get the stock-sized tires, do us all a favor as fellow Av owners and atleast go for 285's. The stock 255's and 245's are so small.

The ride is as smooth as the stock tires and rims. A pleasent surprize since the BFG's are more agressive and have a stiffer side wall. I must admit that a tire package is well worth the money!

I agree, the BFG KO's are not louder or harsher riding than the Goodyear's. And you can't beat the look

Wind4Power
how did you get the cladding to be the same color as your av ... was that stock???
thanks

If I may...wind....the Av does not come that way stock....he was one of the pioneers of the painted cladding....looks good too!!! ;)

I'm happy to here all the good comments on the all-terrain T/A's. I just ordered a set and Centerline Lexi II's to put them on. It's going to be a long 2 weeks waiting for them!

Steel...when you get those babies.....don't hesitate to post some pics right away!!! We would like to check them out...... ;) :)

Will do, NJAV. I spent many hours reading posts, looking at pictures on the net, checking fit, etc. I am looking forward to getting them on! Hopefully I can find the threads concerning photo posting when I get the pix shot!

Hay Chevy Nut nice buck you got there in the back of your AVY are you going to keep your rack or have the head full mounted, make sure to dry the rack if you keep it and then have it measured for Boone & Crocket Club what state did you harvest your deer in

nfhjr:

I wish I could say that I shot that nice 9 Pointer but the lucky hunter of the day was my wife! She shot it on her grandparents farm here in Wisconsin. We have it at the taxidermist to have a shoulder mount done.

Come to think of it, I was more exited to use the back of the AV than I was of the deer, but don't tell her that!

Well the Centerline Lexi II with 265/70/17 BFG AT/TA's arrived this afternoon and I got them on the truck ?:D They look great! ?;D ;D As soon as I can get the truck cleaned up I will get some photos and post. What have you BFG AT users found to be a good starting point for air pressure on the 1500 4wd? I am currently set at 33 psi and the truck seems to handle well and steering feel is not as vague as it was with the stock 17" wranglers.

Can somebody tell me where i can get a good deal for tires and rims. 8 lug for the 2500 ?
I have to get them sendt to Norway !!

Depends what your looking for. I went with Mickey Thompson Challenger Forged Aluminum wheels, they come in 16x7 which can fit 265/75/16 BFG AT/KO tires fairly well, better than the 6.5" rims that you got from the factory.

I personally have the 16x8 and run 265/70/16 BFG AT/KO.

You may want the MT version, a little more grip in winter and mud.

Keep in mind that you need to keep a weight load of at least 2500 lbs/ wheel given the GVW of the truck.

Hope this helps ;D

Got the new wheels and tires on board; it was money well spent. I can't believe the difference. I haven't mastered the photo pasteing yet so it is an attachment.
