Grille Strip?

i was wondering. The chrome grill strip running under the front bowtie, can that be replaced with maybe the color of the truck? anybody know? Oh i was also thinking since im from arizona and the sun there has its way with plastics and leathers. Has anybody done anything with their bedcovers? I was thinkiong of maybe sheet of diamond plate aluminum powdercoated black and glued down. any answers?

You must have gone to The U of A! Me too. I would think the aluminum diamond plate would get so hot you could not handle it in the Arizona sun! Leave it the way it is, I don't think you will have any problem with the cover!

Many people here have painted that strip you have mentioned. I'm not sure what kind of results they achieved in the long run and I can't remember who in this site has done so.

If you do it right.. sand prime, coat, and clear, you'll have no problems what so ever. You can see mine below.

You can also cover it with vinyl, which is what I have done. Put a second cover on after 8 months and should be good now for years
