Sorry I own a V1........Others may be interested........

Can you tell me by PM how you are getting this pricing?

Escort is "old school"

After looking at all of the units out there, I recently took the 30 day trial with a V-1. I used it to motor to the Tybee Island GTG in Savannah, GA and back (1800 miles) and was impressed with the performance and quality of the unit.

Valentine 1 - This is the way to go

Why doesn't someone get a group buy on the V1's together? It's honestly the only detector worth even owning in my opinion these days. These things are absolutely bulletproof in their performance. The funny thing is that their design is far from being fresh.....the other companies change designs annually and no one has bested the V1 to this day as far as I know, even with the newest and "best" designs on the market.

Valid point and I will bring this up to the SC on courting Valentine on this. Personally I have an old Uniden and I'm happy with it. Never been a big believer in a "laser" detector - if you detect you're probably already nailed and the "old school" X, K, and Ka detection is generally better than the new generation models - this is one of the reasons why the V1 is so good - they did not backslide on X, K, and Ka detection.

Funny as most of the independant reports I read on radar detectors rate the V1 as 3rd or 4th on their list... but hey, each to their own.

I would second a Group buy on the V1, I've been wanting to get my hands on one for a while and it is just the price that is keeping me from getting one, but with a GB and a dozen or more members we could probably get a decent deal. ;D

I use an ancient Passport, which I think is one of the units the guy behind Valentine designed while at Cincinnatti before he left. The only thing I don't like about it is the little DC-DC 12V-9V converter it needs, but it did fit nicely up inside the overhead console wired into the lights.

Well i have recently gotten setup with escort as a dealer , as this is part of my Home theater and Satellite business. If you look at Laser jammers as they are called , radartest.com has tested and for the money the Escort ZR3 are the best for jamming all kinds of laser , i know here in Atlanta Ga Laser is being used more than old school radar . The nice thing about Escort if your interested in lasar jamming the unit ties into all of its dectors with a single cord. I just thought i would pass the savings along to any club member if interested .

I have used them all V1, bel, uniden, passport and i am a k40 dealer which i use a 650 now and it works good but the escort 8500 has some very impressive test reviews along with some other brands but at 299.99 list im curious to see how little it might cost me to get it.

sent email

how much for the laser jammer ??

If you can't find it less than $299 I will do a search and find you a reseller in NY that will sell it to you (uninstalled) for $299. I bought one for my truck (LOVE IT and yes, it works). Need to get one for my fiance's car. A group buy and lower price might sway me to purchase sooner than later.
