Hey Guys,

Right here in Clifton, NJ, there will be big things happening on the above dates. As part of a sales promotion Crane Chevy (999 Rt. 46 East, Clifton, NJ) is having Dale Earnhardt Junior"s #8 Monte Carlo on display those three days ( Jr. won't be there himself - busy racing). The big night is Friday, the 18th. There will be a "Cruise Night" in the front lot of the dealership. There will be custom cars, a Corvette club, and Claudio the Parts Manager has offered us the prime spots up front to represent the Av society. We won't actually cruise anywhere, it's more of a show and shine. All we have to do is show up and enjoy the glory. The only thing I need from us is a truck count. I told Claudio that I would let him know by Friday, June 11th. The showroom is roughly 4 miles from the infamous Wayne Hooters, so it's easy to get to. There will be a DJ, refreshments including hamburgers and dogs. and other activities. Scheduled hours are from 6 to 10 PM, then we could do another Hooter's run as well.

Let's show them what the North East region can do!!!

He's keeping 10 primo spots for us, and this can be adjusted up ( hopefully not down ) as long as I call him a day or so ahead. I'd still like to give him a headcount on 6/11, but he can work beyond that if necessary. What a guy....... :B:......plus they're feeding us ( notice - BBQ!!!!!!!)

If some of my more extreme mods are done and the truck is driveable I will be there and maybe bring the hotrod on a trailer!!
 
Wish I could make this one, but the 18th is my B-day, so I am planning on not going to far from home that day.

The event is three days long, but Friday night the 18th, from about 6:00-10:00 is the actual "cruise"( it doesn't go anywhere, but Claudio didn't know what else to call it at the time....."Show & Shine" doesn't make it either 'cause there isn't any real judging at this time). Just a good night to hang out with the Av brothers and sisters, make fun of the unenlightened (i.e., Corvette owners, et.al. ), and possibly conclude with a road trip to Hooter's in Wayne just to see how many heads we could turn on Route 46.........

Hope this helps. I'll be getting Ruby serviced there this Friday and possibly can find out more info......and perhaps entice a few door prizes like hats, trailer hitch logos, and maybe a cladding cleaner kit or three............ >:D )
