Has anyone had an issue with the Volant breather hose being too short?

I just installed my Volant intake the other night on my 2007 Av and the breather hose doesn't comfortably reach the intake tube. It makes it but is just about to pop off. So I went to AutoZone and bought a new length of hose. I'm just surprised after spending $300+ on this thing that they couldn't give you a 12" piece of hose and have you trim it to your liking

sorry to hear that...did you contact Volant and explain to them the problem.  Maybe being new (an 07) they don't have it right yet.  Just a thought

Yes I did call them. The tech didn't seem too concerned, told me I could go to any autostore and buy a hose or they could send me a longer piece of hose. He seemed to push me towards going to the store. Just disappointed I guess I would have appologized, asked what year the truck was and documented it. Then overnighted the customer a new hose. That's just me though

One would hope that's what any company would do.  Just the negative word of mouth getting around could hurt a company.  These days you can never tell

I had the same problem a few months ago.  Tried to make it work and it would not reach. 

Called Auto Anything, from whom I purchased, and they had a new hose sent out in a couple days. 

No sweat, except for the 'pia' caused by Volant for not packaging the CAI correctly in the first place.

Other than that, I do like their CAI.
