Has anyone hauled two sportbikes in their Av?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy an Avalanche and although I've measured......I'd still like to know has anyone personally hauled two sportbikes in the bed of the Avalanche?? If so, was the midgate up or down and were the bikes opposite head to tail when loaded??

I've searched and found about one person back in 03 who did this and said he'd never do it again.? I'd just like some feedback from someone with an updated truck.?

I need to be able to haul an 06 GSXR 750 and an 05 Yamaha R1? :help:

Thanx

I can fit two CRF 450Rs in my '07 Av. Getting the second one up there is a chore but they fit. Not sure if a GSXR or some other sport/super bike will have the same deal but the pegs are the challenege on the dirt bike. Still, once I get them on there it is a piece of cake. If I have a third big bike I use a hitch Hauler (Joe Hauler) which is real nice.

The reason I bought the Avalanache was to haul the bikes and have a nice ride to the tracks for me and my kids.

Good luck.

I never try to load 2 bikes but my CBR 600RR fit in there using the bed extender. Unless you want to open the midgate so you don't have to use the bed extender.
Same reason I bought this truck is to haul my bike.

It would be really snug!  Your tailgate will have to stay down for sure.  I have hauled a TL100R in my old AV and a ZX10R in the new one.  The tailgate had to stay down in both cases.

I'm 100%  sure I wouldn;t want to try to load another one in there.

I appreciate the posts guys.  We have a trailer, but I'd rather not use it every time I travel somewhere, but that may be the case when we're taking both mine and my hubby's bikes.

Anyway, there's a Big Black and Beautiful LTZ calling my name, so I think I'm gonna have to pounce on it before these incentives run out.  Somehow I don't think Memorial day will have better prices.

Thanks for the input :)
