im just curious to see what it would look like it might look pretty cool

add to that request ... hood scoops that work.
I mean that actually direct air into the motor.
Thanks,
Damon

I don't have the ad handy, but in SportTruck magazine someone had a fairly sizeable ad featuring metal replacement hoods. Now that the Av is a year old and has proven it's saleability in the market, we should start seeing more add-ons for it, at least the kind that take a while to bring to market and hopefully hoods will be among them. I've also seen tinted translucent hoods in the ads!!

Yep mine! ;D i have the lund scoops on the av painted in sunset orange to match the truck had them for 3 weeks now and love them. Will post pics on a few days these could be made functional but mine are not for now anyhow ?the so cal guys saw them yesterday and liked em so who knows...l8tr

David,
DId you put the scoops on yourself? If so, could you describe the process?

Yup I did notice Sunset Z71 Lund scoops yesterday at our meet and cruise and they look great. I could not tell that they where not operational, but I beleive Sunset Z71 is considering that mod.

AhhYeah's AV has scoops, but no idea if they are functional or not.

Looks like the pics on his web page are currently broke though so you'll have to ask him straight up if you want to see what they look like.

Sunset's and Ahhyeah's hood scoops are not functional. They are held on with two-sided adhesive.

Sportwing will be offering them soon if you want to wait and get a deal.

They were easy to put on once i had them painted. you use a specail cleaner and hood prep primer and then just adhere them on and let the truck sit in the sun they could be made functional i mean all one would need to do is cut holes in the hood and rout out the area where the grills go. they do look sweet i even put ws-6 ram air decals on for kicks will pos pis tomorrow. later...

Sunset ...

Do you have a closeup photo?

I am curious if you can install some NEON in there >:D

hey sunset... how well have those hood scoops held up? i was planing on getting a pair. how hard are they they to install and how is much is it to paint them? anyways i can't wait to see them up close. thanks :D

You need something with more fiery glow than those.

I remember a time not that long ago that G'man's Av was sporting scoops in his sig!

Of course it was also quite well decked out with neon at that time too!

Now I wonder if Goo had anything to do with that! >:D

i took some quick pics with the company digtial at work since i drive the truck today. ?hope they come out ok. this is one of three. l8tr

OK ... maybe a pair or 6 inch NEON rods OR some scanners ala Knight Rider would work >:D

Humm night rider lights never thought of those right now i am having machined some billet inserts to go over those chessy plastic ones that came with the scoops. It cost me 150 to get painted and clear coated also the painter added a flex additive so the paint wont crack from closing the hood. If anyone does order them i ordered from summit and they are made by lund and are large size. Now if i can get a visor the truck would be set. ;D l8tr
