PICSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

sounds like nice boat

Congrats...isn't it a great feeling.  I can pull my 8000# TT all day.  Sometimes I forget it is back there.

Old design, way ahead of it's time. Now is made by American Offshore who bought the molds from Chris Craft.

Chris Craft is a classic boat.

Love the old wooden day cruisers...

or little runabouts made from wood

I know who Chris Craft is, but I thought it might have been a new Mfg. called Chris Cat.....

My Grandpa had a woody Chris Craft that I wish we still had.  Quite a classic.

Chris Cat is the model.

Chris Craft is still made today, but the wooden boats are now memories.

Thanks for the compliments.

The title of the thread should be hauled 11,000 lbs. The boat weighs 8500 and the trailer 2500.

Either way the Avy does a great job, gets about 8-9 mpg hauling the boat. A diesel upgrade on a pickup will cost $ 6,000. The differnce in hauling is about $ 136 per thousand miles (15 mpg- diesel vs 8.5 mpg gas- $ diesel .25 more per gallon). That means I would have to haul that boat 44,000 miles to get even with the investment cost of a diesel. Now I do not want to turn this into a diesel bashing thread. It's a moot point because the Durax is not available in the Avy and I do not want a crew cab pickup. I live in Mich- it was -4 last night and that means plugging a diesel in.

Thanks Avid.

Glad your diesel fired up. The Duramax is a great engine and maybe in 2010 we  can get one in the Avy.
