Hey central Ohio,

My family and I are heading up to Columbus for vacation the week around Easter. We will be in town from April 10th thru the 17th visiting my in-laws. I'm not to sure if any activities have already been planned. The only thing I've heard about was going to see the Lady Buckeye's fastpitch softball team in action.

It would be great to meet some Buckeye Nation AV's. I know it'll be tough planning something during the week. Meeting some place for eats would be good.

Later,
Greg

Hi Greg,

There are only 2 or 3 of us in the Columbus Area, that are active on the boards, with me being the most active.

As far as my schedule. 11th i'll be with family for Easter, and the 17th I was planning on heading up to Michigan for the Cabela GTG.

We could get together sometime during the week, in the evening and do dinner or something. I live on the North East side of Columbus. Just let me know what your schedule is.

Spork,

As you can tell by my number of post I have gaps between messages.

We?re heading out this afternoon. The plan is to be in Columbus sometime the evening of the 10th. We?re staying southwest of Columbus in the area of the Eastland Mall. I'll PM you with my phone # hope we can meet schedules permitting.

Later,
Greg

J.D.

With my schedule, it's going to have to be dinner after work. Is that ok with you?

I have emailed Chad, who lives close to the Easton Mall (not to be confused with the Eastland Mall). The Easton Mall area has a great variety of restaurants, and isn't too far from the Eastland Mall. Just let me know what your preferences are.

Yeah Spork,
Anything is Fine with me. Would like to meet fellow Avvers. I hit the house about 4 to 4:30. Just fill me in on the details. Thanks J.D.

OK, here's the deal

Wednesday 4/14/04 Dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory at Easton Towne Center. Meet at 6pm at the Courtyard Marriott parkinglot, at the corner of Easton Way and Easton Loop West.

Hey Spork_av. I live in Springfield. Good to see there is someone else around here. I'm new on the boards & am learning my way around. If there is anything interesting going on around us please let me know in case I can't/haven't found it

You can come and have dinner with us tomorrow. ;D

Check out www.neocafcna.com for other local Ohio activities.

OK, I just went out and did some searching through this forum to see if I could find any other Columbus, OH people out there. I found plenty. Come on all of you lurkers, come out and do something! Don't make me start naming names!

Spork,

Thanks for the call, the Cheese Cake Factory sound good, hopefully the weather doesn?t change. The rain will wash out any other previous plans so I can meet the AV members from this area.

Later,
Greg

Spork,
Thanks for the invite, but I have to go help my dad plant trees tonight. Sorry about that was wanting to meet some fellow Aver's. Maybe we can hook up later at some event or we can make one up..Thanks again J.D.

Chad, it was good to finally meet you. Now, we need to get the columbus area people off their butts, and get some activities going.

To bad I couldn?t hook-up with the Columbus group this time. :6:

Vacation plans were set and un-changeable, normally in area once a year. Hopefully there will be other opportunities to meet some Central Ohio AV'ers.

Spork looks like your GTG this week may start a Central Ohio AV group (coordinator) ;D.

Well were heading out first thing Saturday morning.

Later Ohio,
Greg

I refuse to be a coordinator. My schedule and life is too chopy to be able to commit to gtg's too far in advance.

Rob
It was good to meet you as well and we'll have to get together again sometime.

I saw the cruise-in thread on noecafcna those sound good to me and one of them is in Powell.
Ditkartr

I think the Powell one, is actually in Huber Heights.

I know all last summer, that Quaker Steak and Lube had a truck night every week. I will have to see if they are doing it again this year.

after I wrote that, I saw it was not in Columbus. The truck nights sound good and I found some car shows. I know they had shows at bumpers on Bethel but it changed names so I'm not sure if they still will.

I'll keep looking and keep in touch.
