I don't get it... My Headlamps on at exit only goes to 60 seconds, but the manual says up to 180 seconds. I would love to be able to go more than 60 seconds! Does anyone have any insight into this?? I have an '04, fully loaded AV.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Yep can cycle through th delay settings. Hope this helps

Sam

yes, I do have the steering wheel controls and have been able to cycle throught the settings. But the seconds only go from 10,20,40 and 60 if I am correct, 30 is even left out... Once I hit the button to advance from 60 seconds, the next selection is off. I don't get it... it should continue to 120sec then to 180sec. Have you heard of this??

Thanks for the help,
Dan

Maybe you need a software update?  Or maybe you got a software update and the max length of time has been reduced.

Software issues is the only thing I can think of too... I'm going into the dealer tomorrow and will make this issue known. Updates will follow.

Thanks,
Dan

Dealer called GM tech support and they said that early '04 models still had the old 60 second delay programmed, but GM released the new revised owner's manuals too soon, so some of these models (such as mine) got a newer manual with older programming. Sweet... not!  :beating:

Thanks for the help guys!

Even though we all love our beloved Av's, GM really is no different than Chrysler, or Ford, or any other Vehicle manufacturer, they all make running changes during a model year.  If a person gets an early model, many times he or she will get what's up to date as of that manufacture date.  But like everything else in life, there will be changes, and sometimes they are not always in the customer's best interest.  I miss things like, only one cargo light and no under hood light, and other little refinements that the earlier Av's had, but I just accept reality, and if I want them bad enough, I will install them.  Hope that you can get things worked out with your head light delay, if not, just accept it.  :B:

that about sums it up

Yes, that's understandable. Just wondering why mine was setup differently ;) I love GM, always have and nothing is going to change that. Otherwise I wouldn't own an AV  :B:

Thanks Again!

Dan

I'm fixing to go into the truck plant for 10 hours and we all back in. I want to strangle the idiot parked across from me if he gets out of the truck with a two minute delay and lights in my face  :8: :7:

Interesting, mine is an 03' and I can go up to 180 sec (2 mins).(3 mins)
Doesn't make sense. Oh well.

I had that listed in by signature: 11/02

Duh, sorry for my ignorance... So what is the deal then? This does not make any sense now... An AV built in '02 goes up that far. Was this an '02 feature that carried over to a few early '03s and then deleted for models built in '03, then reintroduced in build models of '04? Maybe someone else can chime in and prove this wrong too :) I'm just confused, why some with and why some without? I could understand if it was something that was added in '04, but according to RENORCR this is false. There's nothing much I can do about it, but it's just a mystery that I'm curious about.

Maybe you can go in for a software update?
