Ok despite reading many different posts on the subject, I purchased the Silverstars tonight at walmart ($37) and will try to put them in in the morning. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on how to put them in? Are they as easy as the DRLs? I really hope that Sylvania fixed the probs of the last generation and that these last and are the answer to the yellow dim bulbs that come with the AV. And Happy Fathers Day to all you fathers out there, Breedlove

i found it to be easiest when you pull the headlamp assembly out of the grille. when you are looking at the lamp assembly you will notice an "L" shaped key on the top. work it out of it's locking notch by pulling towards you. once unlock, lift it out of the mounting holes. grab the lamp assembly and carefully pull out of grille. disconnect harness from old bulb. depress locking tab on old bulb and twist out. install new bulb in reverse order without touching bulb it self. handle by base of bulb only. connect harness. re-install lamp assembly. re-install "L" shaped key. turn on lights, and enjoy. i think i covered everything.

Just for your info the Silverstar Headlight bulbs were not the problem. It is the Fogs that burn out.

JJ is correct ;)
I was blowing out the 893 Silverstar fogs as fast as I could put them in :7: but Sylvania did admit to a manufacturing issue which has been addressed.

I know Punisher hates to hear this, but my regular SS headlights have been going for a year strong, their only issue was with the fogs, as stated above...

What will upset you guys even more is that my Silverstar fogs are still working and I started the original thread back in October >:D
