these, plastic covers, get washed, and wiped down, every wash job.

i have used marine, windshield, and plastic window cleaner, on them, maybe every two months.

i s there any....recommended....polish or cleaner, protectorant, for these plastic items???

i have noticed on older cars, the headlight covers, get kind of...milky looking, and want to save mine for as long as i can.

Wash as you would paint.....wash and soft mitt....

For special cleaning try PLEXUS or Meguiars has a plastic polish cleaner product....

For protection you can apply ZAINO or other polymer or wax......

the XPEL is a heavy duty protection as it is a heavy gage clear plastic covering...it will get dirty too so clean the same way...

If you install the X-Pels, follow the directions TO THE LETTER. (Otherwise you could end up with a cloudy cover.)

It's normal to have some trapped moisture after installation, but it will dissipate after about 2-3 weeks in warm weather.

X-Pel claims that if needed, they will pay for lens cover replacements as long as you own your vehicle. (Up to $1000.00.)

Since we take Rocky off pavement every now and then, and since this is the third vehicle I've used them on, I went for them again.

Mothers also makes a plastic polish for lens that turns clouded lens back to clear.

I have the Scotch-cal (X-Pel) on my AV too (the complete set) and have started putting Zaino over it for the add UV protection.

I use Rainx on all my lights and windows. Does a great job of keeping windows clean and spot free. I hate water spots and streaking. This accomplishes that nicely. I also just bought Zaino and love the results so that will probably be my next experiment.

i found the X-Pel headlight covers in the Performance Products mag. they are $56.95 for the AV kit. from what i have been reading this should include covers for all the forward-facing lenses. :B:
