I have an 03' Z-71 with heated seats. There are supposed to be electric heating coils in the bottom seat cushion and the back/lumbar area. The heat works great in the lumbar area. But no heat in the seat bottoms. This is the same for driver and passenger seats. Anyone else have this problem?

Regards.

if you are just pushing the verticle button that heats just the seat back,... if you pust the horizontal button it heats both. It is odd that it is on both driver and passenger seats.

To heat the entire seat, press the horizontal button with
the heated seat symbol.
To heat only the seatback, press the vertical button with
the heated seatback symbol.

i forgot there were two buttons. i have only road in a DuraMax with this option. it is a great thing to have. hopefully the above reply helps you. if not, could there be a loose connector?

7of7 thanks for the awesome reply w/pics. However, I have tried both the vertical and horizontal buttons. No bottom cushion heat. I agree it is odd that both seats are doing this as they are wired seperately, that's why I mentioned that detail. I have casually checked for loose connections under the seats but have not seen anything that looks wrong. :E: ???

Maybe a wiring problem in door ?

Does anyone know if wiring between the two seats has a common connection that could could both to have the same malfunction? I am calling dealer for an appointment soon to have them trouble shoot.
