HEATED SEATS ?

Not in Canada. Probably not elsewhere as well.

The heated seats are only available with the all leather bucket seats. They are not even available with The North Face edition of the 1500.

You can get heat in cloth seats now. My wife bought a 2002 Firebird (Last year for them), and it has cloth seats, and she DEMANDED heated seats after riding in the AV for a month! They put in an aftermarket heating system that works great. The dealer threw them in and didn't charge for them, so I am not sure how much they run.

The heated seats are only available with the "FULL FEATURE BUCKET SEATS WITH LEATHER SEAT INSERTS" option, MSRP $2,375.00 ?They are not much more costly than the next option down, but I found most Avs with this option are 'optioned out', i.e., electric sunroof, etc. ?The seats are very nice though, and have power adjustable 'wings' and two memory settings (a necessity as far as I'm concerned). You also get some other add-ons with the package, such as power adjustable pedals.

An inexpensive alternative is to visit your local seat cover shop and have them instal an after market heater.

I had one put in my cloth seat Silverado for less than $200. It works as well as the but burner in my leather AV seat.

visit the link in my title below, you can see pics of me installing my heated seats from www.jpcustoms.com - call Jason, he has a great deal going on these right now!!!! And they are simple to install. Also see the thread I started under mods/accessories about the JP customs kit
